The Revolution has begun. A revolution for trustworthy leaders, objective journalism, along with a transparent and accountable government. It doesn’t take a genius to see that this country is dangerously divided, but not only that, dangerously distrusting of both government and the media. For instance just yesterday the Pew Research Center released a poll which finds that the “press accuracy” rating is at a two-decade low.
The Mainstream Media has lost almost all credibility to report the truth, and they (The MSM) wonder why people turn to the internet media? Not only that, the MSM do hit pieces where the ubber elite broadcast cows sit and judge internet blogs and media as a dangerous new thing that must be dealt with. Hell, Senator Rockefeller (of all people) wants to give the President the authority to take over the internet in times of crisis.
We have this bizarre combination of corporatism, a dishonest press and government that is frustrating everyone. “Nobody trusts nobody”. Nobody trusts the fed, the treasury, the house, the senate and finally the media. It’s a complete and total lack of trust which is threatening our Republic.
- The people are mad as hell with the Mainstream Media and instead of looking into that, those in power attack the bloggers who the people now trust more than the mainstream media. And still, they wonder why were so angry?
- A quasi-libertarian movement starts to protest our huge deficit and spending with the tea parties and the mainstream media either ignores or insults them. And still, they wonder why were so angry?
- MSNBC runs a hit piece showing a man with an AR-15 riffle showing up at a health care debate. They use this as proof that this issue has a hint of racism to it, in nothing more than an effort to ridicule conservatives. Problem is, MSNBC knowingly zoomed in on the video in such a way so that the viewing audience would not know that the man who was lawfully and peacefully carrying this weapon was a black man! And still, they wonder why were so angry?
- The entire nation, finally UNIFIED stood up as one and SAID NO TO CORPORATE BAILOUTS! The Mainstream Media at the same time kept running stories at how, apperently the American People don’t understand the bailouts in an obvious attempt to push people into what they wanted. Then, when the bailout failed to pass the first time, they yelled and cried on OPEN AIR at how they could have failed to pass it. The bias is breathtaking. But they don’t care what the people want. The media, now in cahoots with the government have decided that we are too stupid to have any say in that. And they wonder why were so angry?
- Right now, 70% want us out of Afghanistan because they fear our gigantic and growing deficit. We’re still there and there is no end in sight. And still, they wonder why were so angry?
Nobody listens to the people. The mainstream media has joined forces with government and business to form the perfect synergy. Government, business and the press are all one now. Corporate giants get bailed out by big government. The press is largely funded by those same corporate giants. We now have a press that are largely willful propagandists.
MSNBC openly roots for Obama. CNN does it a little more under the rug, but just one report from Susan Roesgen illustrates the absurd bias. A story of corruption involving a Democrat is largely ignored, while a “rumor” about Sarah Palin is vetted more than Water Gate. All of this has led to the powder keg that is America today. Everyone is angry. Nobody feels like they have a voice. The country is drowning in a sea of debt and anytime you speak up about it, you are shouted down as some kind of anti-American moron.
So what will the next crisis be, and what will it be used for? I think we are seeing it now.
