We live in incredible times. Almost daily we see an ever increasing amount of government activism working to bury the people under it’s tyranny. Whether it’s the war on terror, health care, man-made global warming or the Fed bailing out banks our Republic is being destroyed daily.
It’s enough to make the most liberal among us go, “wait a second”. The encroachment upon our liberty is increasingly hostile. One side says we have to give up liberty for security, thereby losing both. The other side says we need to shift wealth to help enrich the collective; thereby making everyone poorer. Stealing is stealing, weather I authorize government to do it on my behalf or not.
On 9-11, it’s argued that the hijackers came here to destroy America. What is America? America is a Republic and our constitution, which guarantee’s certain rights of the individual and limits the power of the government is under assault, not from terrorists, but from our American leaders.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be a libertarian right now. However, the future does look bright. The plan to destroy our country and rebuild it in some Marxist vision is starting to be revealed. People are waking up. But it’s still astonishing how the same mistakes are made repeatedly and the establishment barely blinks.
It’s almost as though it’s intentional.
