This is a short manifesto of the beliefs, principles and ideals that the Tea Party should hold to in order to encourage real change within our country. Without sticking true to these core principles we’re destined to fall back into the same progressive traps as before no matter which party is in control.
Change Our Monetary Policy: We must look to return our money to value and back it by gold and silver. We must end the the Federal Reserve System and its ability to print money out of thin air. We must remove government manipulation, intervention and bailouts from the marketplace. Capitalism only works when we allow entities to fail. End all Government Sponsored Entities. If we end the Federal Reserve system, back our money by gold and silver then our foreign policy would inevitably change. We would not have the ability to print money out of thin air to promote our progressive military empire over-seas.
Change Our Foreign Policy: Conservatives have to recognize that they used to be for military non-interventionism and nation building for a reason. The reason is because it’s the only way to keep government small, our military strong and civil liberties protected. Our founders had seen it all before. Nations become powerful and end up in perpetual war over-seas. As the wars drag on, the nations would destroy their money (remove gold and silver from it) in order to pay for it. We’ve not only done that, but we’ve made it policy to print money to fund our massive military ventures over-seas as well as our welfare state here at home. We must (over time) bring our troops home from around the world. We must stop policing the world. We must end preemptive wars of aggression – they go against everything on which our country was founded. If we continue with our current foreign policy we will have perpetual war. We will continue to print and spend more money that we don’t have, indebting our children. At the same time we’ll have to erode our civil liberties at home in order to fight the war on terror that is being caused by our progressive military adventures over-seas. Both parties have fallen into this warfare state and it’ll take both to get us out.
If we were to focus on and change just these two issues, virtually everything else would fall into place.
Government could not print money any further, so no more unnecessary wars.
No more unnecessary government programs.
Government would be out of our free marketplace and those who fail, will fail and those who succeed will succeed.
No special government assistance to special companies or industries which pervert the true market conditions and lead to bubbles and busts.
The American people are angry and I don’t know if everyone understands why. Our foreign policy destroys our money, lives and creates enemies abroad. Our monetary policy destroys our money and perverts capitalism. We must change them in order to return our Republic to its place in history.
These changes I advocate will come one way or another.
